Connectivity
The WIFI and 3G connectivity enables you to buy and download e-books direct from your kindle rader, using a simple one click process. It means you don’t actually need to own a computer to use the Amazon Kindle.
Portable
Kindle really is portable. It weighs just under 250 grams and is only 8.5mm thick. That’s about the same weight as a paperback book and about as thick as a glossy magazine. So it’s considerably more portable than even a small notebook computer.
Extended Battery Life
The Kindle 3 has new Li-Polymer battery which increases battery life – up to a month when used only as a reader with the wireless turned off. When downloading, especially in weak signal areas, battery life is reduced. I found that I can get about 3 weeks of normal usage with 3G on.
Screen Quality
The Kindle uses an Pearl high contrast E-ink “paper like” display, which provides 16 shades of grey for really avoids screen glare and reflection, allowing reading in brightly lit conditions. There are now 8 font sizes to choose from, so you should be able to read quite easily.
